In 2006 the Bishop Tribal Council and BPDC responded to a bid for a DMV "build to suit lease" office facility, the lease was finalized in August 2006. The facility totals 4,150 square feet of office space and is located in Lot 11 within the BPDC Commercial Park. The total funding for the project was $1.5 milion dollars. The lease is for fifteen (15) years with the option of renewal. Construction began in November of 2006 and was completed in November 2007. This project was a team effort of the Bishop Tribal Council and BPDC to expand and diversify its effort in becoming self-sufficient.
